The National Museum of Modern Art / NMMA is the preeminent museum institution with the aim to provide a broad survey of the development of traditional art disciplines from the mid-19th century to the present day. The National Museum of Modern Art collects, preserves, interprets and displays fine art created primarily in Croatia, thus contributing to the understanding of the cultural identity in the context of international movements during the referential period and the field of artistic creation

The National Museum of Modern Art is an institution that employs contemporary museological methods in collection display both at its primary location and through publishing, using all the available channels of media and digital communication in order to make the art accessible, interesting and understandable to today's local and international audiences.
