Following its premiere at the Art Gallery of the Križevci Municipal Museum, the exhibition Contrasts — the first in a series of exhibitions in the 2025 cycle NMMU on Tour — will open at the Municipal Museum of Nova Gradiška on April 24 at 7 PM.

The concept, catalogue essay, and exhibition design were developed by Željko Marciuš, museum advisor at the National Museum of Modern Art (NMMU). For this occasion, Marciuš selected around twenty works from the NMMU’s collection, primarily paintings, along with a number of sculptures and works on paper.

Featured artists include:
Vjekoslav Karas, Vlaho Bukovac, Miroslav Kraljević, Ivan Meštrović, Milivoj Uzelac, Vladimir Becić, Robert Frangeš-Mihanović, Marijan Trepše, Milan Steiner, Đuro Tiljak, Edo Murtić, Vilko Gecan, Đuro Seder, Nina Ivančić, Jadranka Fatur, Raul Goldoni, Ivan Picelj, Zlatan Vrkljan, Šime Perić, and Mladen Galić.

The exhibition will remain open through June 24, 2025.
The project has been co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, Brod-Posavina County, the City of Nova Gradiška, and the City of Zagreb.
