The exhibition Permeable Sculptures by German visual artist Nina Annabelle Märkl opened on 4 December at the Josip Račić Gallery. It was first presented to the Croatian public this summer at the Museum of Fine Arts in Split, and the Zagreb edition features the spatial installation Permeable Sculptures from 2025, as well as selected works from the 2021 series Triple Folds.
The guests were welcomed by Branko Franceschi, Director of the National Museum of Modern Art, while Jasminka Babić, Director of the Museum of Fine Arts in Split and curator of the exhibition, as well as Nina Annabelle Märkl herself, spoke about the exhibition. The show is accompanied by a bilingual Croatian–English catalogue published by the National Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Fine Arts in Split, with graphic design by Ana Zubić.
The exhibition, which remains open until 4 January 2026, has been realised in collaboration between the National Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Fine Arts in Split, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the City Office for Culture and Civil Society of the City of Zagreb. The exhibition sponsor is HP – Croatian Post Ltd.
