The exhibition Artists on Artists – A Visual Panopticon was presented at a press conference held on 20 September at the National Museum of Modern Art in Zagreb. Branko Franceschi, NMMU Director welcomed the assembled media representatives and delivered introductory remarks, while the senior curator Lada Bošnjak Velagić, author of the exhibition concept and set-up, spoke in more detail about another in a series of NMMU’s phenomenological exhibitions. According to the author, the exhibition primarily points to an intense collaboration between artists but also a wider public scene, so she took this opportunity to thank the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, Karlovac City Museums, Varaždin City Museum, Nino Vranić Collection, Vugrinec Collection, Boris Vrga Collection from Petrinja, and other private lenders, colleagues and collaborators on the project.
The exhibition is on display at the NMMU until 13 September and is accompanied by a bilingual catalogue in Croatian and English languages, with a foreword by art historian Lada Bošnjak Velagić. The catalogue is designed by Ana Zubić.
