Opening of the exhibitions of Ivo Friščić at the NMMU and Danko Friščić at the Josip Račić Gallery

On 6 September, Ivo Friščić’s exhibition “Through the Eyes of a Chameleon” opened at the National Museum of Modern Art in Zagreb. The opening was attended by numerous guests and the exhibition was presented by the authors of the exhibition concept and set-up, curators Branko Franceschi, director of the National Museum of Modern Art and Željko Marciuš, museum consultant and head of the Collection of Painting after 1945. Son of the artist Ivo Friščić, painter Danko Friščić, whose exhibition opened that same evening at the Josip Račić Gallery also addressed the guests, pointing out the similarities and differences he shares with his father’s work. The exhibition was officially opened by Jelena Glavić-Perčin, head of the Archive, Library and Museum Activity Sector at the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, while the opening was also attended by the envoy of the Mayor of Zagreb, Filip Miloloža, senior expert associate in visual arts at the City Office for Culture, International Relations and Civil Society.
