The Exhibition „Trebotić, Fifty Years of Solitude (Bochum 1968 – Split 2018)” opened at the Modern Gallery Studio “Josip Račić”

At the Modern Gallery Studio „Josip Račić“, on 30th January, in front a large audience, the exhibition “Trebotić, Fifty Years of Solitude (Bochum 1968 – Split 2018)” was opened. On this occasion, on behalf of the director of the Modern Gallery, the visitors were welcomed by Lada Bošnjak Velagić, the art historian and art critic Branko Franceschi spoke about the exhibited works and the author, the exhibition was officially opened by Jelena Pavičić Vukićević, Deputy Mayor of the City of Zagreb. The exhibition, which in December last year, premiered in the Basement Halls of Diocletian’s Palace, organised by the Museum of Fine Arts of Split and the City Museum of Split – by which the artist celebrates fifty years of his first public appearance in 1968. At the Modern Gallery Studio „Josip Račić“ it was presented to a somewhat smaller extent, through a dozen 2018 paintings and a composite entity in the shape of an equilateral Greek cross. The Zagreb audience will be able to see the exhibition, with an accompanying catalogue with the author’s foreword, until 17th February 2019.
The exhibition was realised in cooperation with the Museum of Fine Arts in Split, and with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, the City of Zagreb Department of Culture and Privredna banka Zagreb, the main sponsor of the Modern Gallery. The exhibition was also financially supported by BlueSun Hotels&Resort.
