This renowned artist will present a score of recent glass sculptures as well as drawings produced over the last two years. In these pieces, the artist confirms his propensity for the exploration of a broad field of artistic creativity, operating in the direction of a personal sensibility inclined to free gesture and materiality, within the framework of abstraction.
Although “the domination of this kind of approach, through the experience of Art Informel, Abstract Expressionism, Action Painting, Lyrical Abstraction and Tachism is already behind us” (as Nikola Albaneze writes in the introduction to the catalogue), the heritage of all these trends is lasting and very clearly still vital, as shown by Vrlić in his new “GLASSWARE”.
