On 24 January, the Artmark Gallery opened the exhibition “Magical Landscapes” from the collection of the National Museum of Modern Art. The magical landscapes “with a soul,” ranging from contemplative Romantic panoramas to fantastical impressions of the contemporary era, showcase works by Oton Iveković, Hugo Conrad von Hötzendorf, Ferdo Kovačević, Mato Celestin Medović, Gabriel Jurkić, Ignjat Job, Vladimir Becić, Emanuel Vidović, Karl Mijić, Jerolim Miše, Oton Postružnik, Sava Šumanović, Vladimir Varlaj, Petar Dobrović, Ljubo Babić, Milivoj Uzelac, Marijan Trepše, Zlatko Prica, Frano Šimunović, Oton Gliha, Boris Dogan, Zlatko Keser, Slavko Kopač, Ivan Rabuzin, and Oskar Herman from the holdings of the National Museum of Modern Art. Considering that the collection of the National Museum of Modern Art currently comprises more than 12,000 exhibits, it is possible to interpret it through a multitude of interesting themes and inspiring phenomena. The upcoming exhibitions will likely be dedicated to themes such as the nude or urban landscapes, and their scheduling will be coordinated with the dynamics of both Artmark and the Museum’s other programs.
